Where NOT To Go For Online Shopping

Among the online shopping sites that are notorious for US copyright infringement are many Chinese names, including Baidu, which provides a search engine that lets you search their index of websites, images, and multimedia content, including mp3 and movie files. 91.com is another website that allows for the piracy of many Smartphone apps, and is responsible for over half of all the downloaded applications in China.

Taobao is another online retail and auction site that is similar to eBay, and is purported to facilitate the sale of copyright infringing goods. TV Ants is a service that is reportedly based in China and allows users to stream TV channels from all over the world. BitTorrent indexers and trackers like Sweden's ThePirateBay have been the target of recent takedown notices and other legal threats, but the site defends its actions as legal under Swedish law.
