Online Shopping Industry Booming India: Indians to Spend $1.6 Billion by 2015

In India, only a few netizens of Mumbai and other metropolitan cities indulge in online shopping, but as the banking facilities and internet connectivity increase, the online shopping figures are set to rise by 30% every year. The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India survey, which was based on the responses of 5000 participants from Banglore, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, predicted that online shopping will more than triple by 2015 with Indians spending over $1.6 billion on online shopping.
It is estimated that there are 100 million people in India who use the internet at least once a week. With increased internet penetration and greater spending power, India, after China and America, is next in line experience a boom in online shopping.
